Responsible for coordinating bundle patients through the practice and entire care episode.

Pay Range

$21.85 - $32.80

Essential Functions

  • Makes regular rounds through perioperative services and lobby to identify any relevant needs.
  • Assists with educating the healthcare team and the patient representative role, and provides orientation and ongoing education to the Service Excellence Department representatives.
  • Serves as an advocate for the patient. Solves customer service issues and problems by working with patients, nurses, and physicians.
  • Employs effective conflict resolution and service recovery skills.
  • Evaluates the patient flow process and role of the service excellence representative in the surgery and triage area.
  • Responds to and seeks resolution to guest services issues.
  • Facilitates the development and maintenance of patient preparation, instructional materials, and videos.

Physical Requirements
Requires frequent and continuous movement throughout the medical center. Job may require long periods of standing, stooping, and walking. Visual and auditory acuity within normal limits or corrected. Works in the general medical center environment with possible exposure to infectious or contagious diseases and hazardous materials. Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to changes in assignment upon request.



Education, Experience and Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Meditech experience preferred. Requires knowledge and experience in conflict resolution and crisis intervention. Experience with the processes and requirements for ordering, reporting, and billing of diagnostic testing preferred. Requires knowledge of available, relevant internal and external resources. Must be an independent and analytical thinker. Must have strong organizational, written, and oral skills. Must attend a minimum of 10 hours of education annually pertinent to practice area.
