The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Service Engineering Manager to lead the BGS C-40A Service Engineering and SEIT teams in Tukwila, WA.
This position will focus on supporting our Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organization and have overall responsibility for all engineering service and integration activities, including Service Engineering, Maintenance Planning, Technical Reach Back support for the customers’ Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Provider, and Systems Engineering Integration.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Service and Systems Engineering, Maintenance Planning, and Technical Publication updates
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects, processes and provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages, develops and motivates employees
Represents site engineering as the internal and external contact to the C-40A Program Engineering leadership
Acquires resources for projects and processes and leads process improvements. Achieves goals for cost, schedule, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
Keeps program leadership team informed by communicating status, metrics, progress to plan and listening to employee concerns and suggestions
Communicates policies and directives to enhance employee awareness of expectations
The candidate must be able to perform in a fast-paced, diverse work environment with excellent teamwork and communication skills
Past proposal and new business support experience preferred

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
5+ years of experience with aircraft sustainment or service engineering
5+ years of experience in Configuration Management
5+ years of experience with technical issues and/or service literature
Previous experience in military commercial derivative aircraft (CDA) engineering required.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related STEM field
Engineering expertise and knowledge of systems with emphasis in Maintenance Planning, Technical Publications, and Flight Manuals
Experience as a CAM (cost account manager) in EVM (earned value management)
Experience using tools such as VECTOR and REDARS
Experience directly working with NAVAIR

Summary pay range: $141,950 - $192,050
