We are offering a 12-week paid internship based onsite at our Godmanchester site, starting in June 2026 This is your chance to make a real impact while learning from experts in a purpose-driven environment.

What does Service Customer Success mean for Smith+Nephew?

Our Service Business team is the backbone of customer care at Smith+Nephew. We make sure every interaction – from the first call to the final fix – runs smoothly and efficiently. The team works across contact centres, warehousing and dispatch, technical support, and field engineering to deliver a seamless experience for healthcare professionals and patients. We focus on improving processes, introducing digital tools, and driving innovation so that our customers receive the highest level of service. Joining this team means being part of a group that turns challenges into solutions and ensures our technology truly takes the limits off living.

What will you be doing?

You’ll dive into the heart of our service operations, exploring the entire customer journey from first contact to field engineering. Picture yourself mapping experiences, analysing processes, and uncovering opportunities to make things better. You’ll work alongside passionate teams, turning insights into actions that improve satisfaction and streamline workflows. Every day brings a new challenge and a chance to contribute to projects that matter.

What will you need to be successful?

Success here means curiosity, collaboration, and a drive to make things better. You’ll need:

  • A degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Healthcare Management or a related field (currently studying), this internship is best placed for 2nd and 3rd year students.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Confidence using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of data visualisation tools is a bonus
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams
  • Can work onsite at our Godmanchester office and bring a proactive approach to planning and organisation
