We’re looking for an Service Centre Manager in Sydney to manage the local administration and operations service department’s which include fleet, stock, monthly budgets, project planning, technical training, human resources, and QHS&E in accordance with all the company’s policies, procedures and best practices.

What you'll do:
- Responsible leader of the depot
- Support growth initiatives, providing operational and administration excellence to both external and internal customers.
- Ensure optimal team performance and capability by providing day-to-day leadership, deployment, mentoring, development and corrective action.
- Responsible for adherence to OHS&E practices and standards.
- In conjunction with the Regional Service Manager assisting in the planning and approval of the depot budget
- Ensure that the service team are fully occupied with daily and weekly service targets.
- Ensure all information for administrative tasks are completed including financials, on our ERP systems are reported on time and in line with policy and procedures.
- Ensure equipment and quality satisfaction is measured and communicated via the customer service monthly report survey, to the service team and how they compare against other Aggreko depot results.
- Ensure our fleet is “Ready for Rental” in accordance with the company’s policy to ensure supply does not affect our ability to deliver.
- Provide information and training to enable the service team to answer customer enquiries.
- Maintain fleet livery in accordance with the company’s policy Provide technical
- support to the Sales Team when required.
- Manage staff hours ensuring that all service technicians have a fair and equal opportunity to work overtime, within budget.
- Ensure contractor use is approved by Regional Service Manager and within budget.
- Ensure that stock control is maintained in line with financial restraints and budgets.
- Ensure that designated stock takes are completed on time and accurate.
- Ensure that all service staff and contractors work in a safe manner abiding to company policy in terms of housekeeping, safe working at heights, forklift driving and PPE requirements.
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure that we are abiding by company standards and external audits from PLC are marked no less than a “B” result.
- Organize and assist in the planning of onsite project needs and ensure that the customer is supported to deliver the job in accordance with the hire enquiry.
- Ensure the depot is maintained and audited against the Aggreko Global Service Center Standards document
- Build strong working relationships with the Sales team, Area Sales Managers, Sector Managers and CSC Team and direct reports
- Facilitate the planning & running of daily toolbox meetings and follow up on any key issues and actions
- Ensure workshop equipment and accessories are in working condition and serviced within required intervals
To thrive in this role, you'll have the following skills and experience:
- Experience in leading teams from a depot capacity
- Trade or engineering qualification preferably as an electrician, diesel mechanic or refrigeration mechanic (Desired)
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to lead, develop and maintain relationships with all departments
- Strong customer focus
- Ability to work under pressure and make deadlines
- PC Literacy
- Planning, problem solving and coordination skills
- Focused on continuous improvement. 5/6 Sigma or Continuous Improvement training preferable
