Why this role?

KONE is seeking a skilled and experienced Service Business Controller, KSEA to oversee the day-to-day business controlling activities of the Unit. This role ensures that KONE’s operations comply with the KONE Financial Control Model (FCM) and that all financial impacts are measured and reported in line with KONE accounting standards and reporting guidelines. The Business Controller also supports the development of local financial policies and ensures adherence to both local and global policies.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage and support all BU revenue and expense-reporting, ensuring control, accuracy, predictability and timely delivery of figures, analysis and comments.
  • Ensure all local, regional and corporate reporting for BU is completed accurately and on time as directed.
  • Support BU in pursuit financial targets through in-depth analysis and sharing of financial knowledge.
  • Coordinate and manage allocations/cost sharing between BUs within or across markets, ensuring compliance with laws, policies, and best practices.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
  • Collaborate with BU managers to communicate, discuss, and challenge financial impacts through analysis.
  • Prepare and present financial input and commentary at BU/Brand-related meetings as required.
  • Attend regional BU finance meetings when requested and manage financial information requests from Regional/Corporate BU organizations.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks related to the Business Finance function.

Are you the one?

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including 2–3 years in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering company.
  • Experience with global reporting is an advantage.
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes, including variance analysis.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience (depending on role level).

Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong multitasking capability and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Hyperion, or similar).
  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Exceptional collaboration, coordination, and networking abilities.
  • Strong project and change management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
