SEO Coordinator | Bankrate

Charlotte, NC Full Time

At Bankrate, the SEO Coordinator plays a foundational role in driving organic growth across our digital ecosystem. This is a hands-on, learning-oriented position focused primarily on web publishing and SEO execution, with an emphasis on ensuring content is accurately, efficiently, and consistently launched and maintained across Bankrate.com.

Approximately 80% of this role is currently dedicated to web publishing and SEO QA work, including page creation, optimization, and deployment support.

You’ll support our mission to help people make smarter financial decisions by ensuring that our content is discoverable, trusted, technically sound, and aligned with user intent — while building the skills and judgment needed to take on broader scope over time.

This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte, NC Headquarters (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own SEO-focused web publishing and QA workflows, supporting content launches, site updates, and ongoing page maintenance.
  • Execute metadata updates, keyword targeting, internal linking, formatting, and other on-page optimizations during the publishing process.
  • Ensure pages are built and updated accurately within CMS platforms, following SEO and brand standards.
  • Support SEO QA across content publishing, site updates, and deployments.
  • Monitor rankings and traffic metrics to surface performance trends or issues related to publishing and optimization changes.
  • Collaborate with Editorial, Product, and Engineering partners to ensure SEO best practices are applied during content and technical releases.
  • Document processes, learnings, and improvements to support scalable publishing and SEO workflows.
  • Leverage emerging tools and AI workflows to improve publishing efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1–2 years of experience in SEO, digital publishing, content operations, or content marketing.
  • Comfort working in web publishing-heavy roles that require accuracy, repetition, and strong execution discipline.
  • Understanding of SEO fundamentals (keyword research, on-page optimization, ranking factors).
  • Experience using SEO and analytics tools (Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog) preferred.
  • Experience publishing and updating content in CMS platforms such as WordPress or Storyblok.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to QA work thoroughly and catch issues before they ship.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently, prioritize effectively, and ask clarifying questions when needed.
  • Curiosity and learning agility, with interest in growing beyond execution-focused work as the role evolves.

Compensation:

This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role. Where eligible, equity may also be offered separately and not included below. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.

  • Total Cash Compensation Range: $65,000 – $70,000 per year
