Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Lab Operations Manager 2 to oversee integration and checkout efforts for multiple test lines within the Integrated Test Facility. This position will ensure technical scope is achieved while also ensuring the labs are operating successfully. Typical lab operations include safety, security, property management, calibration of equipment, and both hardware/software traceability. This position will be located in Roy, Utah.

What you will get to do:

  • Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.

  • Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive component checkouts and acceptance test plans.

  • Coordinating integrated testing activities working in a dynamic people-focused environment

  • Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare comprehensive system level evaluations during integration.

  • Direct oversight of integration of test teams

  • Collaborate with stakeholders during integration to ensure hardware is operating appropriately.

  • Responsible for product integration, regression, and verification/validation testing

  • Ensure lab is compliant to AS9100 standards including the implementation of security processes, safety, FOE/FOD, ESD, Calibration, Data Retention by following the Lab Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

  • Interface with US Government customers

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with 8 years of related work experience; or Masters and 6 years of related experience.

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced team with multiple competing priorities

  • Experience working in a hardware/software lab or test environment

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance (awarded within the past 5 years)

  • Experience leading a project or driving performance against a schedule

  • Experience managing people preferred

  • Prior management experience with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role

  • Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes

  • Demonstrated ability working with cross-functional teams and customers

  • Experience executing in an AGILE environment

Primary Level Salary Range: $126,600.00 - $189,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
