What You Will Get To Do:
Lead the Sentinel Systems Engineering (SE) Operating Unit, reporting to the Vice President of Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT).
The Sentinel strategic missile program is one of the largest and most complex system integration projects in history, with hundreds of missiles, hundreds of operating facilities, millions of lines of code, thousands of support equipment and training devices, and hundreds of technical training programs to enable industry and USAF to operate and maintain the system without fail in the most challenging conditions. A successful SE Director will provide the experience and vision to drive weapon system level engineering and development of the war fighter mission and will have mature judgment to navigate complex technical and program interfaces across NG system segments, the acquisition customer, and various government enterprise partners.

What You Will Get To Do:
Lead technical and business integration of the Sentinel Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Business Unit, reporting to the Vice President for Sentinel SEIT.
The Sentinel strategic missile program is one of the largest and most complex system engineering and integration projects in history - with hundreds of missiles, hundreds of operating facilities, and millions of lines of code that must operate without fail in the most challenging conditions. You will provide the experience and vision to partner with the SEIT Vice President in leading a 1,000+ member national SEIT team to deliver an extremely broad scope of requirements, verification, certification, configuration control, enterprise integration, and operational sustainment deliverables. Your proactive collaboration across NG flight and ground segments, the USAF acquisition customer, and other government mission partners will be critical to successful delivery of this national-priority weapon system. Responsibilities focus in the following areas:
· Programmatic integration
o Lead BU business and operations teams to drive accurate planning and execution to deliver predictable Profit & Loss across multiple SEIT Operating Units.
o Lead workforce and facility / resource actions to enable team performance in collaboration with division Engineering and Operations homerooms,
o Ensure contractual closure and communication of program-level requirement updates and directed scope often negotiated by SEIT on behalf of the program.
o Partner with senior Air Force officers to jointly manage and track priorities.
· Technical orchestration
o Collaborate with the Chief Engineer’s office to align SEIT plans with program technical priorities and issues.
o Lead technical action plans, milestone roadmaps, and progress metrics to drive execution and effective executive communication of system-level work threads.
o Negotiate handoffs with other NG teams and USAF for joint work products and lead across organizations to assure timely and high-quality integrated deliverables.
o Drive proactive opportunity and risk management, including negotiation of “enterprise risk” recognition by the customer for issues outside NG’s span of control.
o Lead efficiency initiatives and corrective action plans.
· Strategic leadership
o Collaborate with the SEIT VP and leadership team to set long-range business unit strategy, growth targets, and resource plans across all program phases
o Prepare and present executive briefings to explain system-level plans and progress.
o Represent the SEIT VP as an executive delegate at high-visibility NG and government events.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
