Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Administrative Assistant 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in support of the Sentinel Program. This position will be located in Roy, UT
What You’ll Get to Do:
The nature of the position involves exposure to sensitive information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment. The selected individual will be adept in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and other software productivity tools and have the ability to work with minimal supervision while exercising good judgment, demonstrating flexibility and agility, prioritizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, managing schedule conflicts, and providing excellent follow through.
The selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Perform normal office functions such as arranging meetings/conferences, preparing material, and setting up for meetings; receiving, referring, or answering email.
Coordinates travel arrangements and expense reports.
Assists in maintaining the organization's collaboration electronic sites, and department and programmatic folders.
Follows up on open actions to ensure deadlines are met, and gathers, compiles, and reports on information relevant to supervisor’s assignments.
Coordinates calendars and assists in event planning and activities of major organization initiatives and/or reviews including customer meetings.
Reviews drafts and finished documents for appropriate grammatical usage.
Answers questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures.
Initiates, researches, and obtains information for reports and special assignments.
May act as coordinator of special projects, following up on pending details, coordinating activities, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Uses various PC software packages such as PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, etc., to produce high quality reports, presentations, or other documents.
Contacts company personnel at all organizational levels to gather information for reports, projects, meetings, and events.
Will also be responsible for routine administrative duties: coordinates staff meetings, teleconferences, answers telephones, screens calls and forwards messages, prepares expense reports, and maintains filing system.
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years administrative experience in an office environment.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.) with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint the ability to create, manipulate professional deliverables.
Experience with Concur or similar travel/expense reporting programs and tools.
Demonstrated ability in prioritizing multiple tasks.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated Project Management Experience.
Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Advanced use of the Microsoft Office Suite and other software productivity tools.
Current active DoD Secret Clearance.
