As a Sensory Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the sensory services department at Schreiber Foods. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, a combination of preparing shelf-life studies, working with sensory software, preparing for customer tasting sessions, and creating test solutions.
This is a year-round, onsite position located at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. We ask that an intern can work 12 to 20 hours a week during the semester, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
We are anticipating a start date in January 2026.
What you'll do:
Prepare shelf-life samples. Print labels, scoop/measure product into small servings, place on trays, communicate timing to R&D partners.
Compile reports using sensory software. Communicate to R&D team as necessary.
Washing trays, wiping down countertops, and general housekeeping of sensory area. Collaborating with other R&D interns in completing their tasks.
Manage inventory of sensory supplies (cups, lids, crackers, bags, water bottles, utensils). Partner will need to keep track of inventory and request to order more as necessary.
Follow the recipe/formula to create flavor tests solutions (salt, sugar, umami, ect) for sensory trainings.
Assist with preparing customer samples for product cuttings, reviews, and sensory panels.

Currently actively pursuing a Bachelor’s/master’s degree in a related field such as Business, Human Resources, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Nutrition Sciences, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Agriculture, Dairy Science, Food Science, etc.
Ability to work independently.
Lead others indirectly and directly,
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities,
Effective project management skills
Ability to make good business decisions quickly.
Experience with MS Office preferred.
For positions that require any amount of travel: Valid driver's license, auto insurance (at least state minimum- more might be required), acceptable driving record per Schreiber Foods discretion, and vehicle that will ensure applicant can meet the travel necessities of the position are required.
Schreiber requires that an employee have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based.
