The Transformation, Analytics & Strategy (TAS) team is an internal team to Workforce Management that provides tools, reporting, systems, processes, and knowledge to optimize our workforce in an evolving and dynamic environment. We are the analytical center of excellence acting as the primary consultants within the Workforce Management organization and beyond – driving analytical and strategic work across Walt Disney World.
Drive strategy by leveraging advanced Data Science techniques, skills, tools, and methodologies such as:
Data Architecture and Manipulation (Coding in SQL, R, Python, Dataiku, Snowflake, SSMS, Azure, PowerAutomate, PowerBI)
Labor Tools and Systems (Labor ToolKit, GEMS, CDS, Business Objects, Navigator, etc.)
Advanced Analytics (Coding, AI, Statistical Analysis, Significance Testing, Forecasting, Optimization, Machine Learning)
Visualization and Storytelling (Tableau, MicroStrategy, PowerApps, PowerPoint)
Data Collection Studies (Observation, Design, Collection, Analysis, Reporting, etc.)
Manage relationships across multiple levels of the Walt Disney World site
Understand complex processes from end to end
Work across a variety of cross functional areas to develop holistic models to better predict and prescribe improvements to the overall Walt Disney World labor strategy
2+ years of related experience
Experience leveraging data science skills to deliver mathematical models and ad-hoc statistical analyses
Have conducted end-to-end analysis that includes data collection and exploration, feature generation and reduction, and algorithm selection – up to and including advanced machine learning models
Have worked in a large, complex data environment, compiling and cleansing data across a variety of domains to create a foundation for your analytic work
Able to determine the best techniques to use to solve problems efficiently and effectively, examining all aspects of the analytics curve across statistical, predictive, and prescriptive methods
Able to interpret outputs of analyses and models to make relevant recommendations
Able to draw inferences, quantify uncertainty/risk, and identify limitations to accurately summarize findings
Experience developing presentations and reports using quantitative information for non-technical stakeholders
Able to conduct process mapping, assess findings, and provide recommendations for efficiency and effectiveness
Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics or some other analytical related field, or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Florida is $83,000.00-$111,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job Posting Segment:
