Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Warranty Quality Engineer for the Firestone Airide Williamsburg, KY plant.

The Sr. Warranty Quality Engineer is responsible for analyzing field performance data, identifying product quality issues, and driving cross functional corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction and reduce warranty cost. This role serves as the bridge between warranty return processes and customer quality efforts, driven by data analysis and comprehensive investigation. Ensures timely root cause analysis, containment, and long-term corrective actions for warranty related failures, while supporting continuous improvement across products and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Warranty Area at the Firestone plant in Williamsburg, KY.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret warranty claims, field returns, dealership/service center feedback, and failure trends.

  • Develop dashboards and reports to highlight high cost and emerging issues.

  • Perform statistical analysis to quantify failure rates, cost drivers, and product specific trends.

  • Lead investigations of field returned parts using structured problem-solving tools (5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC, 8D).

  • Prepare warranty evaluation reports (in line with customer CSR requirements).

  • Navigate multiple customer portals and dedicated applications. Attending to customer needs in a timely manner.

  • Support any escalated requirement regarding warranty, customer audits or visits, and external laboratories.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Discipline with 5 years of experience in Automotive or Automotive supplier manufacturing facility

  • ISO/IATF16949/VDA Auditor training, Six Sigma training and certification, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).

  • Problem Solving skills and AIAG automotive quality core tools with focus on APQP / PPAP / FMEA / Demi

Preferred:

  • 2 years of experience in warranty related roles.

  • ISO/IATF16949 Core Skills & Internal Auditor Certification. Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification.

  • Ability to work with little supervision.

  • Good communication skills and ability to multitask.

  • Work well in fast pace and high-pressure environments.

  • Ability to make decisions based on verifiable data and facts

  • Continuous improvement thinking, always looking for opportunities to improve the business.
