SUMMARY

The Senior Warehouse Quality Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the quality management system, QMS program for Aftermarket within Oshkosh Defense. The Senior Quality Manager will lead a team of quality inspectors and technicians at a parts distribution warehouse. The teams primary responsibility is to review/complete certificate of conformance and PPAP’s while determining the appropriate levels are requested and reviewed, as well as work with suppliers to rectify any deficiencies.  This individual will work closely with internal and external customers and auditing agencies maintaining ISO and IATF 16949 certifications, compliance, and overall quality control.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a high-preforming team of quality inspectors and technicians to achieve department and organizational goals
  • Maintain a positive, professional working relationship while collaborating and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical customers and suppliers
  • Responsible for continuous improvement, cycle-time reduction, standard operating procedures, product quality, process control and supplier quality processes
  • Lead, assign, schedule and coordinate quality audits internally and externally including ISO/IATF16949/DCMA audits; customer inspections and supplier audits.
  • Participate in or delegate a representative for all quality meetings including the Corrective Action Board, Control Testing and Management Review Meetings
  • Lead/facilitate VIP customer interactions
  • Coordinate and work cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Contracts, Sales, and Manufacturing to resolve quality related issues
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to correct and prevent deficiencies
  • Analyze and implement effective solutions to coordinate the resolution of major quality issues, including overseeing and assigning quality deficiency reports and responding to quality nonconformance issues.
  • Understand government contractual quality requirements, including development of the quality response to proposals and demonstrating the conforming process to customer
  • Accurately maintain company records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Must exhibit the ability to proactively plan and execute plans in accordance with established time constraints
  • Must be willing to complete additional advanced training/educational courses as required
  • Lead and own facility PPAP process, work with team to determine appropriate levels requested and reviewed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Business, Operations Management, or related field
  • 7 plus years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in policy writing
  • Experience working with PPAP, ISO, IATF
  • Experience with Government Contracting and DOD requirements
  • Knowledgeable in Problem Solving Methods
  • Knowledgeable in DFMEA/PFD/PFMEA/CPLAN
  • Knowledgeable in six sigma principles or Lean
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Ability to read prints and engineering drawings

Pay Range:

$91,800.00 - $153,200.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
