In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.
Process Overview:
Global Markets Technology (GMT) and Global Payments Solutions Technology (GPST) groups provide end-to-end technology solutions for Global Banking and Markets businesses including Treasury, Trade Finance, Payments, Transaction Banking, Equities Trading, Prime Brokerage, Fixed Income, Currencies, Commodities, Derivatives and Structured Products.
GMT & GPST groups have around 8000 resources in India and is involved in delivery of tech solutions for 1400+ applications. The group primarily delivers architecture, design, development, management, implementation and support using a wide range of technologies. The Delivery teams are doing extensive work in several regulatory, strategic and initiatives programs. In addition, the group has also established a strong partnership with the GBAM operations team in India to deliver automation and functional enhancements to the applications they are using.
Job Description:
We are looking to fill a Senior Technology Lead role to manage some of the Global Payments Transformation Programs within this group.
Primary responsibility would be to manage the end-to-end transformation of the legacy payments platform into a modern product-based platform and integrating the same with various enterprise systems to handle a number of new industry features and real time settlement requirements.
Objective of these transformation programs will be to simplify and modernize the payment platforms by removing legacy apps, reducing vendor dependencies and migrating to strategic state of the art microservices and container-based architecture. These programs are funded for multi-year investment with structured approaches to roll out and migrate the functionalities over the next 2-5 years across various regions.
Primary role of Tech lead will be to move up the value chain in terms of taking significant design and delivery accountability from the region. Tech lead should forge strong relations with the globally distributed business and tech stakeholders and possess the right skills to influence them on prioritization.
The lead will also be responsible for strengthening agile delivery, increase DevOps adoption, demonstrate engineering excellence and build tech transformation and solution designing capabilities within the Transformation program thereby contributing to the maturity of the overall operating model.
In addition, this role also requires the person to work very closely with the Global Banking and Payments Operations teams (with over 4000+ resources) within India to identify new automation opportunities as part of the transformation program. Managing the strong pipeline of requirements from the India based operations teams, developing suitable strategic and tactical solutions, building those systems, testing and deploying them by working closely with respective Global product and functional application teams are some of those additional responsibilities of this role.
