Job Description
As Senior Vice President, Platform Engineering, you will serve as the senior people and technical leader responsible for establishing, scaling and leading the Platform Engineering organization in region. You will operate with meaningful local autonomy while partnering closely with global engineering leadership to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy, standards and priorities. This role represents a long‑term investment in building durable engineering leadership and platform capability, with scope and influence expected to expand as the regional organization grows. The role balances people leadership with deep technical engagement. While team building and leadership development are primary, you will remain closely connected to the technology—guiding architecture, reviewing critical designs, and supporting teams through complex technical and operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Build, lead, and scale a multi‑disciplinary platform engineering team across software and infrastructure
Hire, develop, and retain a high‑performing team
Coach and mentor senior engineers and engineering managers
Partner with regional and global leaders to align priorities, manage dependencies and remove obstacles
Define and communicate a clear technical vision and strategy for platform engineering
Own platform architecture, technical standards and long‑term roadmap coherence
Ensure platforms are built as products, with strong APIs, automation, testability and excellent developer experience
Act as a technical thought partner in architectural reviews, complex design discussions and post‑incident learning
Ensure platforms meet expectations for reliability, scalability, security and operational excellence
Qualifications
Extensive experience leading software and infrastructure engineering teams
Demonstrated excellence in people leadership, organizational design and talent development
Strong software engineering background with experience building and operating production systems
Proven platform engineering mindset, designing platforms for developers with a strong focus on usability and automation
Hands‑on experience designing, operating and scaling cloud platforms, with AWS or Azure required
Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code practices and tools such as Terraform and Terraform Cloud
Experience managing and operating modern developer tooling and platforms (e.g., source control, CI/CD, artifact management, internal developer platforms)
Strong foundation in platform engineering, infrastructure, or distributed systems
Background in enterprise or regulated environments preferred
