You New role will be

  • The Release Train Engineer (RTE) serves as the servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART). The RTE facilitates ART events and processes, supports teams in delivering value, and drives continuous improvement across the train.
  • This role is pivotal in ensuring alignment, transparency, and execution excellence across multiple agile teams working toward shared program objectives.
  • . Program Execution & Delivery o Facilitate PI Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops. o Ensure timely delivery of program increments and alignment to business goals. o Track and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies across teams.
  • Agile Coaching & Leadership o Foster a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement. o Coach Scrum Masters and teams on Agile practices and SAFe principles. o Promote lean thinking and agile mindset across the ART.
  • Risk & Dependency Management o Identify, track, and resolve cross-team risks and dependencies. o Escalate impediments and drive resolution with relevant stakeholders.

What you will bring 

  • Lead team of software developers and reported particulars of escalation involving Scrum of Scrums.
  • Specialize in Lean / Agile and enforce best engineering practices.
  • Help resolve programming bugs.
  • Provide leadership insights or coaching to scrum masters, Agile managers, and other team members for sustained Agile practices.
  • Facilitate timely planning sessions involving release trains.
  • Work as per PI calendars to ensure appropriate business value is being delivered through programs.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to eradicate impediments in the workflow.
  • Manage and execute release planning
  • Facilitate Agile Release Train Events: This includes organizing and facilitating PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, Inspect and Adapt workshops, and other ART ceremonies to ensure alignment and coordination among teams.
  • Remove Impediments: RTEs are responsible for identifying and eliminating impediments that hinder the progress of Agile teams, whether they are related to resources, dependencies, or organizational barriers.
  • Ensure Cross-Team Collaboration: Promote collaboration and communication among teams within the ART and with external stakeholders to foster a cohesive working environment.
  • Provide Leadership and Coaching: Serve as a mentor and coach to Agile teams, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners, guiding them on Scaled Agile principles, practices, and mindset.
  • Track and Report Progress: Monitor the progress of Agile teams and ARTs, track key metrics, and provide regular information to stakeholders on the status of deliverables.
  • Continuous Improvement: Facilitate continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and enhancing processes through retrospectives

Qualification Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in technology related degree
