Job Summary

In 2019, Keyfactor decided to widen its investment and acquired Redtrust, a Spanish company pioneer in the management of people’s identity through the custody and management of digital certificates. Redtrust has a strong reputation for providing top-notch products and services in Spain. As a Senior Manager, you’ll be a key member of the engineering team and will develop & maintain Redtrust products.  

The Senior UX Engineer plays a key role in designing and delivering high-quality customer experience for complex products within Redtrust's ecosystem. This role combines strong hands-on execution with ownership of UX solutions at the product or feature level. The Senior UX Engineer partners closely with Product Management, Engineering and other departments to translate customer needs and business requirements into intuitive, scalable interaction models, while contributing to UX standards and design system evolution.

The position is based in the Barcelona office, we have a hybrid work model and excellent flexible working practices. Applicants must hold valid Right to Work in Spain to apply for this position. 

Job Responsibilities

UX Design & Execution

  • Design end-to-end user experiences for complex workflows and technical products, primarily in B2B environments.
  • Translate research insights, requirements, and constraints into clear interaction models and UI designs.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and detailed design specifications to support development.
  • Ensure usability, accessibility, and visual consistency across assigned products or features.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define and deliver UX solutions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Support to understand customer journeys, identify experience gaps, and surface UX-driven improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and delivery cycles to ensure UX quality.
  • Collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure designs are technically feasible and well implemented.
  • Review implemented UI and provide feedback to maintain UX standards.

Design Systems & Consistency

  • Contribute to the evolution and adoption of the design system.
  • Apply established UX principles and design standards consistently across products.
  • Identify UX inconsistencies and proactively propose improvements.

User Research & Validation

  • Participate in user research activities such as interviews, usability testing, and feedback analysis.
  • Validate design decisions through testing and data where appropriate.
  • Incorporate user insights into design iterations and product improvements.

Mentorship & Influence

  • Act as a UX subject-matter expert within project teams.
  • Provide guidance and constructive feedback to less experienced UX designers.
  • Promote human-centered design practices through collaboration and example.

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Skills

Required

  • Significant experience in UX, interaction design, or related roles.
  • Proven experience designing complex or technical products.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX problem solving.
  • Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and usability best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with front-end development concepts and constraints.

Preferred

  • Experience in enterprise or B2B software environments.
  • Experience contributing to or working within a design system.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design.
  • Experience mentoring junior designers.
