The European SRT team provides Significant Risk Transfer (SRT) solutions to European banks in respect of loan portfolio transactions, particularly synthetic securitizations under the Basel III framework. The underlying loans may include retail (mortgage, auto, consumer) and corporate (SME, receivable finance, etc.) exposures.
The incumbent will support origination and structuring efforts, including client engagement, transaction structuring, and credit approval processes. The role requires a strong understanding of credit and securitization together with experience in executing and overseeing complex financial transactions.
- Supports origination efforts by identifying and developing new SRT opportunities.
- Engages with clients to understand their risk transfer needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Assist in structuring synthetic securitization transactions, including pricing and documentation.
- Prepares internal transaction materials for credit and risk approval committees.
- Evaluates loan portfolio performance and risk characteristics using internal models or estimation techniques.
- Understands key structural features of SRT transactions and their impact on Arch’s risk and return profile.
- Liaises with internal stakeholders including legal, risk, tax and actuarial teams to ensure transaction alignment.
- Monitors regulatory developments and applies knowledge of Basel III, CRD IV, and Solvency II to transaction design.
- Supports ongoing portfolio surveillance and reporting requirements.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience in transaction structuring within banking, insurance, or rating agency environments.
- Experience in credit approval.
- Solid understanding of SRT and securitization markets gained from prior experience working as an issuer, investor, or adviser.
- Knowledge of banking regulation, especially in relation to SRT and credit risk mitigation.
- Strong experience with consumer and corporate loan assets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with client-facing experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel; modelling experience is a plus.
- Fluent in English. European language skills are desirable but not essential.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to synthesize and clearly present findings to stakeholders.
- Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills and a hands-on approach.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related discipline.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in banking, insurance, or credit-related roles.

- Role is based in Dublin, Ireland
- Current company guidelines allow a combination of working from home and working within a normal office environment within Arch’s Dublin office.
