How you will create an impact

  • Underwriting financial lines business for Central hub for products including D&O, PI, FI, Cyber, Crime, KRE, etc. to achieve budget target and profitability thresholds
  • Stick to the team's goal and product specific strategy
  • Adhering to authority levels and all Underwriting Authority guidelines
  • Maintain and expand good broker relationships through marketing calls and superior service
  • Ensuring adequate and timely file management in accordance with all AIG and AIG Financial Lines audit guidelines
  • Effectively communicate and negotiate terms, conditions and premiums with our producers and clients
  • Conduct client meeting in a very polished and professional manner
  • Maintain good time management skills and lead by example with proper punctuality and timeliness
  • Adhere to AIG’s code of conduct
  • Maintaining and promoting a professional work environment
  • Organize, respond to, quote and manage all submission and renewal activity
  • Participate in AIG corporate AML training, and be obligated to perform AML related duties, including KYC, large/suspicious transaction reports, high-risk customer reports etc.
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks/projects/ duties as assigned

 What you’ll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above, preferably in Accounting, Law, Finance, Insurance, and/or Business with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience
  • Detailed technical knowledge in Financial Line risk exposures, coverage and pricing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization and the ability to interact personally with all levels of staff
  • Strong knowledge and experience in working Windows-based applications particularly Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Like to deal with people. Able to handle public speaking
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively and independently
  • Proven ability to make sound underwriting decisions
  • Fluent spoken and written English/Chinese (Mandarin)
  • Commitment to becoming an insurance professional
  • A good team player
