Job Purpose:
The Commercial P&C Insurance Underwriter—specializing in Fidelity Bond, Directors & Officers (D&O), and related management liability coverages—is responsible for evaluating, pricing, and underwriting complex risk exposures for financial institutions. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise in D&O and Errors & Omissions (E&O) liability, with Tech E&O experience highly desired to address evolving risks related to digital operations, technology service providers, cybersecurity exposures, and third‑party platform dependencies.
The underwriter will assess financial strength, organizational governance, operational controls, loss experience, and regulatory compliance to develop appropriate terms, conditions, and pricing. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Claims, Actuarial, and Compliance teams to deliver tailored, profitable insurance solutions that align with the organization’s risk appetite.
The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail‑oriented professional with deep knowledge of Fidelity Bond, D&O, E&O, and emerging Tech E&O insurance exposures within financial institutions. They will maintain underwriting discipline, drive portfolio quality, and strengthen client and partner relationships through sound risk selection and clear communication.
This position is responsible for handling files/accounts that present complex or precedent setting underwriting situations. The key focus is to identify all risks and exposures, implement appropriate solutions and properly price files/classify risks. This position will also be accountable for collaborating closely with field staff, customers and other TruStage business areas, as appropriate.
