Role Overview

The Senior UI/UX Designer is responsible for designing user-centered interfaces and experiences for the company’s trading technology software. This role ensures that the products are intuitive, efficient, and aligned with the high performance and usability standards required in professional trading environments. The Senior UI/UX Designer collaborates closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Product Development Managers, Tech Leaders, Developers, Quality Assurance Analysts, Client & Project Managers and clients to translate functional and business requirements into engaging, high-quality designs.

This position requires creativity, accountability, autonomy, and efficiency, with a strong commitment to client success, customer care, and product excellence.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver user interfaces and experiences for trading applications and platforms.
  • Conduct user research, prototyping, and usability testing to optimize product usability and performance.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Product Development Managers, Tech Leaders, Developers, Quality Assurance Analysts, Client & Project Managers to ensure consistency and alignment across the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure accountability, autonomy, and compliance with deadlines in all design tasks.
  • Contribute to product quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction through user-focused design.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and team spirit in all collaborations.
  • Provide regular updates and report activities to management.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • UI/UX Design & Execution
  • Design user-centered interfaces that balance functionality, performance, and aesthetics in trading technology products.
  • Translate complex trading workflows into intuitive, efficient, and visually coherent user journeys.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and visual assets using design tools such as Figma or Sketch.
  • Ensure all designs comply with usability best practices, accessibility standards, and company brand guidelines.

  • Research, Testing & Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback from clients and internal stakeholders to guide design decisions.
  • Plan and perform usability testing and prototyping sessions to validate interface effectiveness and optimize user experiences.
  • Use data and insights from product usage to refine existing designs and improve client satisfaction.
  • Stay up to date with UI/UX trends, technologies, and trading industry practices to continuously enhance product quality.
  • Represent the company in interactions with external partners related to digital strategy and conduct client presentations of our digital software products.

  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Product Development Managers, Tech Leaders, Developers, Quality Assurance Analysts to create Business Requirement Documents and ensure seamless design integration.
  • Partner with Client and Client & Project Managers to incorporate user feedback and ensure client success through effective UX.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communication teams when needed to ensure visual and functional consistency across products.
  • Promote accountability, team spirit, and open communication across departments.

  • Quality, Accountability & Professional Standards
  • Deliver all design work with accountability, autonomy, and efficiency, ensuring compliance with project deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client data, product information, and proprietary design materials.
  • Contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement by proposing innovative solutions and best practices.
  • Support the company’s transformation strategy by promoting clarity, scalability, and user-centered design principles.
  • Provide regular updates and report activities to management.

Profile & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, ideally within financial software, fintech, or trading platforms.
  • Strong experience in customer journey re-invention, leveraging “innovative” technics design thinking, customer centric design approach.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing complex, data-rich applications.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent).
  • Practice and development knowledge in web technologies are mandatory: HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3.
  • Solid understanding of trading workflows, financial markets, and user needs (sell-side experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven project management skills involving cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to conduct workshops and gather feedbacks.
  • Demonstrated creativity, accountability, autonomy, and efficiency.
  • Strong commitment to client success, customer care, and product quality.
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
  • High ethical standards, professionalism, and attention to detail.
