About the Role:
The Senior Director, Global Total Rewards will lead our worldwide Compensation and Benefits functions. This highly visible role reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and serves as a strategic advisor on reward and benefits philosophy and global program design.
As Fragomen evolves its processes, systems, and employee experience across a global professional services environment, the Senior Director will drive modernization, operational excellence, and data driven decision making across all Total Rewards programs.
Key Responsibilities
Total Rewards Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and lead a global Total Rewards strategy aligned with the firm’s business priorities, talent needs, and professionals ervices operating model.
- Partner with senior leadership and regional HR teams to ensure rewards programs support performance, scalability, and growth.
- Lead the global Compensation and Benefits teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, service excellence, and innovation.
Compensation
- Oversee global compensation program design, including base pay, variable pay, merit cycles, market benchmarking, global leveling, and job architecture.
- Lead development and oversight of the partner and executive compensation programs.
- Introduce modern compensation governance practices, including pay transparency frameworks, pay equity analytics, and audit processes.
- Guide compensation modeling, scenario planning, and budgeting for annual processes in partnership with Finance.
Benefits
- Lead global benefits strategies across health, welfare, retirement, wellness, and leave programs; evaluate competitiveness, cost effectiveness, and alignment with local market norms.
- Oversee vendor management, negotiations, contracting, and compliance across all global markets.
- Ensure seamless delivery of benefits operations, automation, eligibility management, and payroll integrations.
Data & Technology
- Support integrations, analytics, and employee/manager self service within the Total Rewards function.
- Drive global HR data governance standards, data integrity, reporting, and dashboards to enable evidence based decision making across compensation and benefits functions.
- Partner with IT and HR Operations to enhance system performance and enable scalable, efficient HR processes.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Lead Total Rewards process design and standardization efforts to support the firm’s broader evolution in professional services process maturity.
- Implement streamlined, technology enabled workflows, leveraging automation, consistent documentation, and compliance controls.
- Serve as a change leader, ensuring strong communication, training, and stakeholder engagement for new processes and systems.
- Compliance, Governance & Risk Management
- Maintain expertise in regulatory requirements across global markets, including ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, OSHA, and country specific labor and tax rules.
- Oversee development and maintenance of Total Rewards policies, programs, and documentation.
- Ensure audit readiness, risk mitigation, and adherence to internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience leading global Total Rewards functions (Compensation, Benefits and Wellness) in a professional services, legal, or complex global organization.
- Experience administering and optimizing Workday for compensation and benefits functions
- Demonstrated success leading complex compensation and benefits programs across multiple countries.
- Experience with executive compensation and partnership models strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to present to senior leadership and partner committees with clarity, influence, and strategic insight.
- Track record of driving process improvement, operational excellence, and systems modernization within an evolving HR environment.
