Job Description
 

Senior Therapeutic Specialist, HIV- Istanbul (Anatolian Side)

We are looking for a Senior Therapeutic Specialist based in Istanbul, reporting to the HIV Sales Manager, to help strengthen our operations in the Turkish market.

Key Responsibilities

·       Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan for the assigned territory to achieve sales goals.

·       Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, accounts, and opinion leaders.

·       Consistently meet coverage, frequency, and sales targets within the territory.

·       Manage territory budgets for customer interactions, events, and other external activities.

·       Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Medical, Marketing, and Market Access.

·       Organize and follow up on sales initiatives and projects within the market.

·       Represent Gilead at professional events and promote the company’s products.

·       Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time (e.g., CRM updates, expense reporting).

·       Monitor performance, track progress against plans, and provide regular feedback.

·       Support regional training and contribute to team development initiatives.

·       Ensure full compliance with local regulations and Gilead’s Code of Conduct.

·       Travel within the territory; occasional overnight stays may be required.

Qualifications and Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) required.

·       Extensive pharmaceutical sales experience

·       Proven track record of success in pharmaceutical sales with strong disease/product knowledge.

·       Having patient-centric approach.

·       Strong scientific acumen and ability to credibly discuss therapeutic products with healthcare professionals.

·       Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills; proven ability to build and maintain relationships.

·       Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions proactively.

·       Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.

·       Familiarity with industry trends and competitor practices.

·       Mandatory country-specific pharmaceutical sales certifications must be completed.

·       Residence in Istanbul is required.

·       Experience in infectious diseases (such as HIV) is highly desirable but not mandatory.
