Senior Technology Compliance Analyst

The opportunity
Strategic Leadership: Play a senior role in a newly created global team, leading the execution and governance of Unity’s technology control environment across SOX, SOC, and ISO 27001.

Technical Deep-Dive: Act as a subject matter expert for modern engineering stacks, validating compliance for cloud-native infrastructure including GCP, AWS, GKE, Terraform, and GitHub.

End-to-End Ownership: Drive the full audit lifecycle—from automating control testing and conducting SOD analyses to leading external auditor walkthroughs and managing high-stakes deficiency remediation.

Operational Excellence: Improve global compliance posture by conducting advanced Quality Assurance (QA) reviews, managing performance KPIs via AuditBoard, and mentoring control owners worldwide.

This is a hybrid role based in our Bangalore office. This position requires working during late evening hours from 2 PM to 11 PM (IST), with a 1-hour lunch break included. Are you available to work during these Non-Shift hours?

What you'll be doing

• Lead the Control Lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end execution of ITGC, ITAC, and IPE controls, ensuring that technical evidence for Unity’s global environment is robust, documented, and audit-ready.
• Drive Audit Strategy & Walkthroughs: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, leading technical walkthroughs, validating audit scope, and ensuring the seamless delivery of all Provided by Client (PBC) evidence.
• Advance Quality Governance: Conduct rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of control performance, computing quality scores to help leadership identify root causes and drive continuous process improvement.
• Resolve Complex Access Risks: Perform deep-dive Segregation of Duties (SOD) analyses to identify critical conflicts and partner directly with control owners to implement effective remediation and resolution.
• Innovate through Automation: Proactively identify opportunities to automate control preparation and testing, leveraging AuditBoard to manage performance KPIs and streamline compliance reporting.

What we're looking for

• Advanced Control Expertise: Technical mastery in executing and testing ITGC, ITAC, and IPE controls within SOX, SOC, PCI, and ISO 27001 frameworks.
• Modern Tech Stack Proficiency: Hands-on experience validating technical evidence for cloud-native environments, including AWS, GCP, GKE, Terraform, and GitHub (specifically Branch Protection and Codeowners).
• Audit Management Tools: Power-user proficiency in AuditBoard for managing control tickets, evidence repositories, and compliance workflow automation.
• Access Governance & SOD: Proven ability to perform complex Segregation of Duties (SOD) analysis, identify critical conflicts, and architect remediation plans.
• QA & Data Analysis: Technical skill in conducting formal Quality Assurance (QA) reviews, calculating quality scores, and reporting on compliance KPIs and performance trends.

You might also have

• Relevant experience in SOX testing, SOC,PCI and ISO 27001.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Preferable to have CISA, CISSP or any relevant certification but not mandatory.
