POSITION SUMMARY:

Senior Technician shall primarily be accountable for the operation and maintenance work for all major mechanical and electrical equipment for the venues, attractions and events related to Entertainment that are held throughout the MELCO Properties. According to the schedule and roster as set forth by the Manager/Senior Engineer/Engineer.

Assist in the technical cleaning, testing, monitoring, operating and maintenance of the Shows/Attractions related equipment and system to ensure smooth operations of shows in all Venues are attained at all times. Support internal departments or external guests on Events set up, operations and dismantling of stage equipment and scenic elements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out assigned daily operational tasks, liaise with the Entertainment Events and Resort Engineering Team to ensure all equipment relevant to show performances and maintain high standard of Technical services in all attractions and/or outlets are running smoothly at all times
  • Perform regular maintenance work according to the Operation & Maintenance manual skillfully and carefully
  • To carry out troubleshooting and ad-hoc maintenance work in case of equipment breakdown
  • Coordinate with appointed external contractor and/or vendors in carrying out the work to be done for the operation and maintenance of any electrical and mechanical related equipment and/or system
  • Participate in establishment of the SOP (Standards Operating Procedures) and preventative maintenance programs.
  • The SOP and preventative maintenance programs are to be defined in a great level of details in order to provide clear and detailed information to the staff that will execute it.
  • Develop log reports systems of maintenance execution
  • Ensure the tidiness and cleanliness of the working bench, workshop areas and storage areas so that a safe and decent work place is maintained
  • Participate on planning and arranging technical requirements in relation to any unique type of machinery and equipment according to end user’s needs
  • Handle all related equipment setup, standby and dismantling of Shows/Events.
  • Facilitate any other operational or production related tasks assigned by the Senior Manager / Manager / Senior Engineer / Engineer in relation to the Entertainment Division
  • Ensure the Health and Safety measures are met at all times.
  • Supervise works of technicians within the department as requested by the established work schedule.

Ad Hoc

Performs tasks and/or fulfil responsibilities that may be assigned by management and/or immediate superior as the business operations required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Work / Professional Experience

  • A minimum of Three (3) years of pertinent experience in relation to the position with a minimum of Two (2) years experience in Casino/Hotel/Entertainment industry on show operations

Education

  • Secondary school certificate in Electrical, Building Services, Mechanical or other rated discipline, or equivalent professional training is preferred

Skills / Competencies

  • Good communication skills in English or Chinese
  • Ability to work either hands on equipment as well in a supervisory role
  • Good technical knowledge of various central plant, E&M systems and equipment
  • Prepare to work additional or alternative duties as required
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Obliged to wear uniforms according to company standards at all times
