Your Role
As part of our Technical Underwriting Team, you will take ownership of our Art & Private Clients portfolio, driving profitability and strategic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Development & Underwriting: Design and refine Art & Private Clients insurance products, underwriting guidelines, pricing models and wordings in compliance with regulations.
- Portfolio Management: Ensure profitable growth of the Art & Private Clients portfolio, monitor performance and implement corrective measures when needed.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Define pricing strategies, risk appetite and measures to maintain profitability.
- Leadership: Provide technical guidance to underwriters, manage authority levels and conduct audits.
- Sales & Marketing Support: Collaborate with direct, online and broker channels, including support for large risks and special agreements.
- Project Leadership: Drive local and international projects and contribute to Europe-wide product and underwriting strategy.
- Market Insight: Monitor Art & Private Clients market trends in the Benelux and Europe, assess competitive positioning and identify emerging risks.
- Training & Development: Deliver internal and external training sessions, webinars and presentations.
Technical Expertise Development
- Work with actuaries to develop pricing algorithms and optimise rates.
- Collaborate with the Wording Committee to translate risk appetite into clauses and wordings.
- Support underwriting teams with referrals and guideline interpretation.
- Engage with claims teams and sales partners to share expertise and evaluate risks.
Your Profile
- Proven expertise in Art & Private Clients risk underwriting with strong analytical and product knowledge.
- Ability to diagnose issues based on data and facts.
- Structured, organised and capable of balancing operational tasks with strategic projects.
- Strong communication skills – able to simplify complex topics and influence stakeholders.
- Fluent Dutch and/or French and excellent English skills required.
