WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Investor Services production support team ensures IS applications run smoothly, reliably, and with minimal disruption. In this role you would be responsible for monitoring batch jobs and online components, handle incidents, provide prompt resolution to problem tickets and continuous process improvement. You will also participate in various audit, risk and compliance items. You will work closely with business and operation partners to provide fast resolution to queries and provide guidance through analytical skillset.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Using AI tools to improve efficiency, reduce downtime and help to move from reactive firefighting to proactive management
  • Continuously monitor applications, triage incidents and restore services as quickly as possible
  • Investigate root cause to prevent recurrence of issues. Work with L3 team to ensure permanent fixes are implemented
  • Responsible for deploying components in production as part of change management process
  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides to ensure faster resolution and knowledge sharing
  • Automation of repetitive tasks, put alerts and work on improving system resilience and support processes
  • Participate in various internal and external audits, application control assessment and ensure application components are up to date and compliant with RBC standards
  • Work on disaster recovery tasks and comply with OSFI and other DR standards

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Ideally 8+ years of work experience in Cobol, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS and other mainframe components
  • Strong understanding of application support and production environments, including problem and change management
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term resolution
  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams including development, QA and infrastructure
  • Experience working with ticketing platforms like Servicenow, Jira or similar tools

Nice-to-have

  • Experience working with AI tools for log monitoring, automation and knowledge management to improve efficiency and reduce resolution time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment including on call or shift based support
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability and attention to details
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
