This exciting and challenging full-time role is based at Raytheon Australia’s Cannon Hill office and involves supporting the operation, maintenance, test and evaluation of the Joint Gas, Support and Test Equipment program supporting ADF operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • The role requires a high-level of experience with mechanical engineering.
  • The ideal candidate will additionally have experience in oxygen delivery systems.
  • Knowledge of sustaining ADF systems and processes would be advantageous.
  • Provide engineering solutions including design, analysis, implementation, test and lifecycle support of the safe and secure delivery of Australian Defence Force’s assets. 
  • Support of enabling capabilities regarding troubleshooting and upgrading of capabilities, requiring liaison with operations, maintenance, and logistics staff, as well as Australian Defence Force users.
  • Conduct testing against the approved baselines for verification and validation including development and execution of test procedures and analysis documentation.
  • Develop Engineering Change Proposals using change management processes and conforming to relevant quality management and Australian Standards. 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Requires a Diploma in Engineering.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer Associate (CPEngA) or willing to work towards it.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering.
  • Practical to substantial knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the support and test equipment.
  • Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
