Job Responsibilities
1. Operational Tasks
1.1. Operate machines to meet production output, and other metrics like quality, waste, etc.
1.2. Perform Preventive Maintenance (Cleaning, Service, Replace).
1.3. Perform troubleshooting of machine and tools, equipment failures to meet production targets, safety, and quality standards and/or specifications.
1.4. Perform product/machine changeover on the line by tool/die change and machine set-up.
1.5. Initiate, Implement and follow-up on machine enhancement and project assignments.
1.6. Write Standard Work Instruction / Procedure for assigned operation / process.
1.7. Implement Corrective and Preventives Actions.
1.8. Participate in training and coaching of Technicians and new hires on skills and knowledge on machine operations and adjustments.
1.9. Assist Engineers or Subject Matter Experts for any CI activities.
2. Supporting Tasks
2.1. Contribute into departments activities that are needed in order to achieve goals set for the department e.g., Kaizen submission, team building, safety kaizen submission, 20Keys and others.
2.2. Participate in the discussion and review of team's performance in the daily shift changeover meeting.
2.3. Participate in continuous improvement initiative / activities.
2.4. Perform any other tasks as assigned.
3. General Accountability
3.1. Observe BD Code of Ethics
3.2. Apply SOP and/or SWI in daily operations.
3.3. Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) accountability, observing GMP rules and procedures.
3.4. Reporting up on all quality and non-quality related incidents / accidents, near misses, non-conformance with SOP or specifications, deviations from plan, and when required, to take part in further investigations.
3.5. Safety and ISO14001 Environmental accountability. Ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly workplace by observing Company’s rules and procedures. Active involvement in prevention, elimination of potential safety hazards and participation in activities which promotes recycling, replacement, and reduction of resource materials.
3.6. Safety & health accountability: Safety and health are important to BD and we encourage the observance of all safety programs and training assigned to you. Such programs are to be attended in a timely manner to ensure that work tasks carried out are in accordance to our safety guidelines and SOPs.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
1. Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
2. Supervisory and leadership experience.
3. 3-5 years of relevant working experience in Manufacturing production line of high volume.
Knowledge and Skills
1. Experience in supervision of manufacturing facility.
2. Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a TEAM environment.
3. Good people skills are essential for liaising with other departments.
4. Good communication skills are essential.
5. Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
Accountability
1. Production daily output.
2. Production line sustainability.
3. 5S Lean workplace.
Physical Demands
1. Dynamic production environment.
Work Environment
1. Control room environment.
2. Working hours: Rotational 12 hours day shift 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am, shift pattern 3/4/4/3.
3. Willing to work overtime if required. Flexible to change to Day or Night shift if production needs changed
