Senior Technical Product Owner

Boston, Massachusetts Full time

As a Technical Product Owner supporting U.S. Segment Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering technology solutions that drive operational excellence, automation, and customer-centric outcomes. You will partner closely with business leaders, agile delivery teams,and technology stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable, high-impact, digital capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to influence the modernization of core operational processes while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, regulatory requirements, and strategicpriorities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engaging with business stakeholders to understand their needs, gather 
    requirements, and define epics, capabilities, and features

  • Requirements Analysis and Prioritization: Analyzing and prioritizing the requirements gathered 
    from business stakeholders (Initiative lead, Product owners etc.) and translate to technology 
    execution, coordinating and acts as lead of technical and business teams to deliver on technology 
    commitments.

  • Technology Product Strategy and Planning: Driving the technology product/capability strategy, 
    planning, and delivery of key capabilities for the business product/capability

  • Research and Analysis: Conducts user research, market research, and data/workflow analysis to 
    identify opportunities for improvement and recommend technological solutions that align with 
    business needs. Presenting findings and communicating insights effectively.

  • Technology Guidance: Providing technical guidance to business stakeholders and the development 
    team and ensuring that the product’s/capabilities technical aspects are well- managed. Ensures 
    technical requirements are understood, integrated, prioritized to backlog. Mitigates technical 
    roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals.

  • Maximizing Product Value: Ensuring that each product delivers the maximum value to
    the user by managing the product backlog and prioritizing technical tasks

    INTERNAL

  • Manages the product backlog delivery and work prioritization process in partnership with IT and 
    Operations.

  • Leads agile team to ensure that value is delivered to users

  • Assesses value, develops cases, and prioritizes stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns 
    with product strategy

  • Coordinates vendor delivery where majority of development activities are outsourced

  • Understand the technical architecture and dependencies of the product.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

  • 5 years of experience as a product owner or similar capacity

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.

  • Comprehensive understanding of various programming languages and frameworks, familiarity with a spectrum of software development methodologies, and in-depth knowledge of data structures and databases

  • Effective communication and analytical skills, ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable requirements.

  • Experience with product management and software development tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Planview).

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification is preferred.

  • Technical background with a solid understanding of software development processes

  • Strong verbal and communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate and communicate technical vision and the ability to translate the outcomes into possibilities, options, and execution

  • Learns constantly, from both success and failure, and remains open to change/continuous improvement.

  • People leadership experience is preferred or someone with strong potential with people leadership capabilities

  •  Responds well to ambiguity and works efficiently to clarify situations and outcomes

  • Deep understanding of the current technical stack and architectural constraints

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

  • Recognized as an expert within IT specialty and/or business and broader organization with broad-based expertise across area and related functions

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels

  • Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of IT to the business

Salary range is expected to be between

$104,860.00 USD - $194,740.00 USD
