The Role

You will define the safe migration patterns, readiness standards and validation approach for Teams Phone and meeting rooms/device accounts impacted by a tenant‑to‑tenant consolidation. This role focuses on ensuring critical voice and meeting experiences are protected through wave migrations by defining policy baselines, readiness checks, cutover choreography and remediation runbooks. You will work with Scale squads to embed voice/rooms readiness into wave planning and with Factory specialists to execute remediation and validation at pace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define Teams Phone/Rooms migration readiness standards and safe cutover patterns.

  • Establish policy baselines and validation checks needed before and after user moves.

  • Define runbooks for common voice/rooms remediation scenarios during tenant transitions.

  • Coordinate dependencies with Identity, endpoints, networking and licensing stakeholders.

  • Support pilot execution and translate outages/issues into hardened standards.

  • Define acceptance criteria and evidence requirements for voice/rooms components.

  • Support triage during cutovers, ensuring quick recovery for business‑critical voice scenarios.

  • Work with adoption/change stakeholders to define comms and user readiness inputs.

  • Create and maintain a known‑issues catalogue and remediation playbooks usable by delivery teams.

  • Ensure governance alignment: no unsafe go‑lives without defined readiness evidence.
