Senior Tax Manager, NL

We’re looking for a Dutch Tax Specialist  to join us in Schiphol Rijk.  

What will you be doing? 

  • Managing the Dutch tax groups/payers, ensuring compliance and timely filing of tax returns as well as assisting in translating the Group’s tax strategy to these returns and reporting packs

  • Acting as the first point of contact in maintaining a strong and professional relationship with Tax Authorities. Proactively leading this interaction in the context of the requirements around tax transparency.

  • Leading the update and sign off of Long Range Plan tax module for Dutch tax. Monitoring areas of Dutch tax volatility (such as through derivatives and FX), using this knowledge to advise senior management on tax impact of decisions and proactively input into strategic business decision making and correct reflection in financial accounts

  • Proactively monitoring new Dutch and international tax legislative developments and considering their impact on the tax position of the wider group. Provide constructive workable solutions and advice to senior management on how to optimize the group’s position in light of the currently rapidly changing tax landscape

  • Working with and developing more junior members of the tax team, fostering an environment in which everyone works collaboratively to achieve goals and objectives for the wider group and shares past experiences and institutional knowledge/insights efficiently both within and outside of the team

We tend to look for people with:  

  • Proven tax experience in a large group environment or advisory firm.

  • Proven technical Dutch corporate tax experience within an international context and a strong affinity with numbers and understanding of complex fiscal unities and consolidations.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Recognize technical and commercial issues and able to communicate the implications effectively.

  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, written and spoken.
