Vanguard is seeking a Senior Tax Lead to provide oversight and support for tax analysis and filings across its fund offerings. This role involves researching and interpreting domestic and international tax regulations, with a focus on FATCA, CRS, and W-8 processes. The Senior Tax Lead will manage and oversee these compliance workflows, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The position also includes identifying opportunities for process improvements and advising on regulatory impacts to fund operations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and review tax filing processes related to mutual funds, trusts, etc.; respond to audit inquiries.
Monitor cross-border taxation and international tax compliance processes; provide responses to international tax audits.
Review and oversee research and analysis of mergers and acquisitions; evaluate tax impacts and provide recommendations to management; guide advice and communication to the business.
Support the development of tax strategies to enhance and improve services.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments; ensure compliance with domestic and international tax laws and regulations affecting global investments of Vanguard products; attend industry and vendor conferences to stay informed.
Contribute to the development and growth of less experienced crew members; provide technical guidance and on-the-job training.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five years related work experience.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Accounting or Finance degree preferred. Graduate degree preferred.
CPA preferred.
Experience with FATCA, CRS, and W-8 processes required.
