The Senior Tax Analyst leads the preparation of interim and annual tax provisions, upholding rigorous tax compliance standards, and oversees tax Associated Bank is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to lead key aspects of our corporate tax function, including tax provision and compliance activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and process efficiency while driving automation initiatives using Workday. You’ll have the opportunity to influence strategic improvements and grow as a tax leader within a collaborative environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the preparation of interim and annual income tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740 and applicable regulations.

  • Serve as the primary liaison with external accounting firms, overseeing data delivery and reviewing tax returns for accuracy.

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries with precision.

  • Drive process improvements and support the integration of Workday to enhance tax reporting and automation.

  • Perform reconciliations of tax-related general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

  • Monitor changes in federal and state tax laws and assess impacts to the organization.

  • Partner with accounting teams to evaluate tax implications of corporate transactions and strategies.

  • Conduct tax research to support compliance, reporting, and complex tax matters.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 3+ years of tax accounting experience.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 740.

Preferred:

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation.

  • 3+ years of experience with a Big 4 firm or large corporate tax department.

  • Experience with tax provision processes and financial systems such as Workday.

$73,990.00 - $126,840.00 per year
