About the Role

At Veeam Senior Systems Engineers work mainly with Enterprise and large Commercial customers, both Public and Private.

What You’ll Do
  • Working with sales to help secure and grow business with new and existing mid-large customers in the Enterprise and Commercial market segments. • Provide web-based and on-site demonstrations of Veeam product portfolio
  • Work closely with Veeam’s value added Partners, including Cloud and Hosting providers, for training, enablement, joint meetings, and relationships • Provide pre-sales support and/or on-site installation assistance to customers as they evaluate Veeam products and services
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for the customers, ensuring the best experience possible of Veeam solutions by supporting (together with colleagues such as Solution Architects, Professional Services, etc.) correct design, implementation and adherence to best practices
  • Provide input for and participate in Veeam marketing events (webinars, conferences, trade shows…).
What You’ll Bring
  • Ability to drive business conversations with relevant C-level stakeholders of enterprise level customers
  • Can advise and influence customer decisions on their future business strategy, and have the ability to ensure total customer experience on assigned accounts
  • Evangelize Veeam messaging at Marketing events Coordinate presales efforts with customers, through the help and collaboration of Veeam Solution Architects, System Integrators, and Professional Services figures (regardless if they are Veeam colleagues or via Partners)
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Comfortable in presenting to groups, both remotely and in person
  • Able to travel throughout Italy and occasionally abroad, if/when needed.
  • A self-starter with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Prior expertise in IT infrastructure topics (virtualization, storage, networking, backup/disaster recovery, monitoring…)
  • Knowledge of micro-services, cloud-native applications concepts and related technologies (containerization and orchestration, Kubernetes…)
  • Knowledge and experience of Hyperscalers (such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud…); be comfortable to position and engage discussions around Cloud technologies • Experience in using social media to help promote and grow the Veeam community
Bonus Skills
  • 3+ years’ experience in Enterprise and/or Commercial Customer Segment
  • Extensive experience in a Pre-Sales technical role
