Senior / Systems Engineer (Open Digital Platform)

We are looking for a Tech Lead with a strong foundation in system engineering, operational technology (OT), Internet of Things (IoT), and software development. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will guide a team and actively contribute to designing, building, and deploying complex systems that are scalable, secure, and resilient. You will work on diverse projects across various domains, including access control systems, OT systems integration, cloud infrastructure, and IoT solutions, adapting to the evolving needs of the organization. 

As a Tech Lead, you'll drive technical decision-making and implementation, collaborating closely with stakeholders from various teams to ensure successful project execution across their lifecycle. You will balance leadership with hands-on contributions, playing a key part in both developing new systems and enhancing existing platforms. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of engineers, providing mentorship and guidance while actively contributing to the design, implementation, and deployment of complex systems. 

• Oversee the integration of IoT devices, OT systems, and applications, leveraging cloud platforms to create scalable, flexible solutions. 

• Develop and maintain access control and payment systems, supporting backend infrastructure and integrating various authentication methods for enhanced security and functionality. 

• Lead OT systems integration by designing and implementing converters that bridge industrial and operational technologies to middleware. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives, requirements, and security standards. 

• Architect and implement backend services that are scalable, performant, and secure, addressing both IT and OT integration challenges. 

• Lead the design, creation, and ongoing maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks 

• Integrate machine learning models, predictive analytics, and other technologies to enhance OT and cloud-based systems. 

• Ensure that systems comply with relevant security, governance, and regulatory requirements.  

• Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field. 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems and software development, with a strong focus on OT systems, cloud systems and backend application development. 

• Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering complex systems across both IT and OT domains. 

• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure). 

• Experience with OT systems integration, and other industrial technologies into cloud and IoT solutions.

• Good proficiency in Object Oriented programming languages such as Java and C++. 

• Familiarity with security best practices, including data protection, encryption, and compliance with relevant standards. 

• Ability to adapt to new technologies and challenges, contributing across a variety of areas as business needs evolve. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting complex, distributed systems in fast-paced environments.  

• Ability to mentor and guide team members while maintaining a hands-on role in project implementation.
