Senior Systems Analyst

Canada - Toronto - Ontario Full time

We’re looking for a Systems Support Analyst to join our team, reporting to the Manager, Technology Operations. In this role, you’ll help shape how we keep trading systems stable, secure, and performing at their best, ensuring clients get a seamless and reliable experience.

What You’ll Do 

• Act as the primary technical contact for clients and partners. Responsible for Daily Technical Operations including Application Management and Support for all Nasdaq provided services.
• Monitor core systems in real time and resolve software, hardware, or capacity issues. 
• Support system operations including startups, shutdowns, recoveries, scheduling, and batch processing. 
This includes 24/7 Technical Operations and Application Support, managing Incidents for both internal and external customers, installing application updates and maintaining operational documentation and procedures.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues across clients, exchanges, and network providers. 
• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade system hardware and software. 

 

What You’ll Bring 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent experience. 
• 3+ years of experience in technology operations or system support. 
• Strong ability to diagnose issues, execute recovery steps, and communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical partners. 
• Experience supporting secure, reliable production environments. 
• Comfortable with tools and concepts like Linux, networking fundamentals, scripting, and version control. 

 

Nice to Have 

• Certifications related to system administration or operations. 
• Experience with FIX connectivity, capital markets, or real‑time trading environments (
Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or experience in capital markets)
• Familiarity with tools like GitLab, Docker, or similar platforms. 

 

This position is located in Toronto and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is $75,000 - $103,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
