Job Description:
The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the stability, security, and performance of the assigned platforms. The Senior Systems Administrator is expected to troubleshoot complex technical issues, implement improvements, and oversee critical systems, while ensuring tasks are completed to organizational standards. This role helps ensure IT systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
What You'll Do:
Configure, monitor, and maintain servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud environments.
Perform system upgrades, patch management, backups, and disaster recovery testing.
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues across hardware, operating systems, and applications.
Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
Lead implementation of new technologies, tools, and system integrations to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Act as an escalation point for complex issues, providing guidance and coaching to the team.
Establish standards, best practices, and documentation to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
Foster collaboration within the IT team and across business functions, balancing individual contributions with team-driven outcomes.
Provide input into resource planning, workload management, and professional development for team members.
Identify opportunities for process automation, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
Contribute to IT roadmaps, capacity planning, and technology refresh strategies.
Serve as a subject matter expert in systems architecture during project planning and implementation.
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of progressive systems administration experience, including direct experience supporting enterprise platforms.
Strong understanding of Salesforce processes and integration points.
Proficiency with Salesforce Sales, Service and Experience Clouds preferred.
Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system and integration issues.
Demonstrated experience managing system upgrades, configuration changes, and data security controls.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
