The Role and Impact
Join Intel's DCG AI Group as an AI Systems and Solutions Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence.
In this position, you will drive the design, development, and integration of cutting-edge AI solutions by combining hardware, software, firmware,
and silicon components. Your contributions will influence Intel's AI GPU product roadmap, address complex customer issues,
and deliver high-performance, scalable AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the resolution of multidisciplinary platform issues by coordinating closely with all ingredient partners.
• Lead thorough root-cause analysis, issue isolation, and disposition activities for all Platform issues, ensuring timely and accurate closure.
• Establish SLAs for the bug lifecycle, obtain alignment from all ingredient owners, and proactively monitor and address any deviations.
• Take complete ownership of the end-to-end bug lifecycle, ensuring full transparency, accountability, and effective communication.
• Improve overall program execution efficiency by identifying automation opportunities and implementing targeted automation solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with design, validation, firmware, software, and customer-facing teams, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently through clear and consistent communication.
• Customer Escalation and Problem-Solving: Proven experience in managing complex customer issues and escalations, delivering timely analysis, clear updates, and technically sound solutions under pressure.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Strong capability in leading debug taskforces, mentoring junior engineers, driving critical technical decisions, and upholding high standards in debug quality and process discipline.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 8+ years of industry experience with a Bachelor's degree, 7+ years with a Master's degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
• Linux Kernel Debugging Expertise:Extensive experience in diagnosing and resolving kernel-level issues, including deep understanding of Linux internals.Expert-level proficiency in developing and debugging applications in Linux system and user space.
• Strong System-Level Debug Skills: Proven ability to isolate, root-cause, and resolve complex hardware-software interaction issues across multiple system components.
• Deep Technical Knowledge Across Key Domains:Proficient in RAS, Power Management (PM), PCIe, Performance, Security, Ethernet, HBM, and GPU subsystems, with strong command of logs, traces, instrumentation, and debug tools used in system bring-up and validation.
• Machine Learning Framework Experience (Good to Have):Familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow, and their application in data science and model development workflows.
• AI/ML Deployment and Debugging (Good to Have):Knowledge of deploying, debugging, and troubleshooting AI and machine learning models, including identifying and resolving model-level issues.
• Platform Architecture Understanding (Good to Have):Knowledge of Intel and ARM platform architectures, along with hands-on experience using related debug tools and frameworks.
• Programming Skills:Strong proficiency in Python, C, and C++.
• Excellent Self-Learning and Communication Skills:
Ability to quickly acquire new technical knowledge, coupled with strong written and verbal communication capabilities for cross-functional collaboration.
• GPU Architecture and Debug Expertise:Strong understanding of GPU architecture, memory hierarchy, performance bottlenecks, and associated debug methodologies.
