Job Title: Data Engineer - Smart Building Platform
Location: APAC Region (Preferred: China)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Data Engineer with a strong focus on technical implementation to design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable and robust data architecture for the smart building platform. This role is critical in delivering high-availability and high-performance data infrastructure, supporting the technical foundation of our smart building solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Architecture Design & Development: Lead the design and implementation of logical and physical data models, define data structures, and optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval.
  • ETL Pipeline & Data Integration: Develop and maintain efficient ETL processes, integrate data from multiple heterogeneous sources, and ensure the stability and scalability of data flows.
  • Data Platform Implementation & Operations: Responsible for building, deploying, monitoring, and optimizing core systems such as data warehouses and real-time analytics platforms, ensuring high availability and performance. Handle the creation and maintenance of databases, schemas, views, and other objects in MySQL.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Establish data validation, monitoring, and governance mechanisms to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Technical Innovation & Best Practices: Continuously explore industry-leading technologies, drive the adoption of new tools and methods, and enhance the overall technical capability and efficiency of the platform.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related technical implementation roles; experience with BI or analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing logical and physical data models for both relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, database architecture, and modern ELT processes, especially with MySQL.
  • Hands-on expertise building ETL pipelines and integrating data from multiple sources.
  • Solid programming skills in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python preferred); understanding of cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) is beneficial.
  • Experience working in agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
