As a Software Engineer at Applied Materials, you’ll dive deep into ground-breaking technologies—like machine learning and AI—to craft novel software solutions that solve our customers’ high-value problems. Our Software Engineers are responsible for designing, prototyping, developing, and debugging software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices to ensure quality and functionality. You'll develop software documentation and test procedures, troubleshoot software problems, and communicate with internal customers to understand project requirements. As part of our team, you'll contribute your expertise in intricate systems, deciphering code, and anticipating software behaviors to ensure Applied remains the leader in the semiconductor and display sectors.

 

 

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join our unique product team of building the next gen applications to control and manage our products.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of this team, you will make important technical decisions in creating the software to operate Applied Materials products through code and solid architecture, while being surrounded by a strong technical team.

You will work with multiple groups and stakeholders, to define and promote various complex solutions.

  • Define, Design and Develop software solutions for various SW Products
  • Interface with internal and external customers
  • Troubleshoot a variety of complex software issues.

Skills and Experience

  • BSc. in Computer Science/Computer Engineering
  • 4-7 years of experience in backend/server-side development
  • Experience with one of the following programming languages: Java, Python (advantage)
  • Kubernetes / micro services experience - an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of system software architecture of large distributed systems
  • Good communication skills in Hebrew and English
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
