Alveo Technologies is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to own and lead the end-to-end supply chain function in a growing, regulated manufacturing environment. This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role responsible for ensuring uninterrupted supply, optimizing cash flow and total cost of ownership, and building strong supplier partnerships across domestic and offshore sources.

The Supply Chain Manager will operate as a player-coach, directly executing all production planning and purchasing while serving as a strategic partner for New Product Introduction (NPI). This role works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to align supply chain strategy with business objectives, ensuring a seamless and cost-effective transition from development to captive manufacturing

Role Overview

The Supply Chain Manager reports to the VP of Operations and serves as the senior, cross-functional leader responsible for directly executing and optimizing all purchasing, planning, inventory, and logistics activities across the organization.

As the primary point of accountability for overall supply chain performance, this role ensures alignment across functions, sets priorities, and resolves tradeoffs to drive consistent execution against cost, service, quality, and inventory objectives.

The Supply Chain Manager operates as a player-coach, providing functional direction and escalation support while remaining hands-on with daily execution, supplier strategy, cost management, and system discipline. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to ensure the supply chain supports both current operations and New Product Introduction (NPI) within a regulated manufacturing environment

You Will

· Directly own and execute the end-to-end supply chain function, including production-level sourcing, purchasing, and planning.

· Lead the Supply Chain NPI process, partnering with Engineering to manage prototype sourcing and ensure a seamless transition of BOMs from the PLM into NetSuite.

· Run internal production planning and resource coordination, synchronizing manufacturing activities (including formulations, cartridge manufacturing, and packout) while aligning closely with QA and QC workflows.

· Prioritize production and development schedules based on revenue generation targets and project timelines, while accounting for constraints in materials, labor/resources, and equipment availability.

· Develop and implement supply chain strategies and processes to improve efficiency, cash flow optimization, and operational scalability.

· Directly execute all procurement activities, including sourcing strategy, RFQs, supplier selection, and contract negotiation.

· Manage both domestic and offshore suppliers and contract manufacturing partners (EU and Asia), focusing on critical materials for both production and development needs.

· Proactively manage product costs through a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) lens, identifying cost-reduction opportunities and analyzing key drivers.

· Manage “wet” raw materials (e.g., enzymes, reagents) along with hardware, plastics, and packaging.

· Partner with Quality and Engineering to qualify suppliers and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements (GMP / ISO environments) during both NPI and production phases.

· Maintain high-level ERP (NetSuite) data integrity related to item masters, BOMs, purchasing, and inventory transactions.

· Establish safety stock strategies that balance material availability with cash flow requirements, shelf life, and carrying costs.

· Develop and execute second sourcing strategies for critical hardware and "wet" reagents to mitigate supply risk and drive cost-reduction while leading the cross-functional coordination (Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory) required for supplier qualification, verification, and change control within a GMP/ISO environment.

· Lend expertise to the inventory team to maintain accountability for inventory accuracy, turns, and the mitigation of excess and obsolete (E&O) materials.

· Provide forward-looking inventory, supply, and backorder projections to management, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to production continuity.

· Lead supplier performance management, including the execution of scorecards, quarterly business reviews, and corrective action follow-up.

· Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to ensure supply chain operations support both active production and development pipelines.

Your Background Should Include

· 7-10+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including leadership responsibility

· Experience in regulated manufacturing environments, such as medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences, aerospace, or similar high-quality industries

· Direct experience sourcing and managing wet or chemically/biologically sensitive materials, including shelf-life, lot traceability, and handling requirements

· Expertise in managing CM relationships within a regulated industry, including the ability to conduct performance reviews and technical troubleshooting remotely or through on-site visits when necessary.

· Experience managing suppliers in GMP and/or ISO-regulated environments

· Demonstrated success managing both strategic initiatives and day-to-day execution in growth-stage or operationally complex environments

· Proven track record of implementing dual-sourcing strategies within a regulated industry, including experience navigating the quality and validation hurdles associated with technical supplier changes and material substitutions.

· Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, costed BOMs, supplier negotiations, and supply chain KPIs

· Hands-on experience working in an ERP system (NetSuite strongly preferred) with accountability for data accuracy and process discipline

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with technical documentation and cross-functional stakeholders

· Proven ability to work independently, set priorities, and drive results with limited structure

· Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
