Job Summary
Responsible for creating reporting, ad-hoc data and analytical support across multiple operational areas of the enterprise through translation of complex analytics into concise and consumable reports.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Identifies, locates and extracts data from a variety of sources for use in reporting, analysis, and statistical modeling.
- Develops/manages automated reports for daily consumption using specific formatting and presentation guidelines.
- Leads analytical investigations aimed at answering specific business problems using data with an emphasis on recommending actionable solutions based on insights.
- Builds strong relationships with business partners and leaders to provide thought partnership on metrics and visualizations.
- Develops models (predictive and classification) for a variety of business issues.
- Collaborates and provides support to multiple departments to ensure the analytic and reporting needs are met with accuracy and clarity.
- Tests, analyzes and problem solves data issues to ensure data integrity and provide technical support for end users self-service tools and reports.
- Documents data definitions and report sources and for all reports.
Nature and Scope
- Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.
- Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the expected results. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.
- May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc
Work Environment
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in either BI, data analytics, or a related field - REQUIRED.
- Proficient in SQL, Power BI, Excel techniques for data analytics and visualization - REQUIRED
- Proven experience building and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards from scratch - REQUIRED
- Experience working in enterprise data environments and applying project management methodologies.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on business impact.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
This is a hybrid position. Eligible candidates residing in the greater Atlanta area will be asked to work two days a week in our Doraville, GA Field Support Center.
