Role Summary:

Supplier Engineering at ResMed partners closely with our global supply base to improve supplier performance, strengthen process controls, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality components that meet our product, volume, and delivery requirements.

As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping supplier quality and manufacturing excellence. You’ll apply deep manufacturing expertise to influence design for manufacturability and automation, ensure new components are fully validated for production, and drive improvements that protect ResMed’s Quality, Availability, and Cost goals.

This role will be the primary supplier engineering presence in Resmed’s i-Park campus, offering the opportunity to work independently while collaborating with regional stakeholders in Singapore. Over time, the role will evolve into a broader leadership position, giving you the chance to build capability, influence strategy, and help shape how ResMed engages with its suppliers.

Lets Talk About Responsibilities:

  • Apply advanced engineering knowledge to initiate and lead supplier performance improvement programs, with a strong focus on supplier quality and delivery performance.

  • Act as the technical point of contact for supplier engineering in RMO, effectively holding the fort and representing ResMed’s interests with suppliers.

  • Lead cross‑functional teams to resolve complex technical, manufacturing, and quality issues, coordinating with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

  • Develop and implement scalable inspection, testing, and validation processes to ensure precision, reliability, and accuracy of supplier products and manufacturing processes.

  • Translate engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements into clear, actionable supplier controls and procedures.

  • Lead and execute Supplier Process Validation activities as part of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Supplier Change Requests.

  • Drive and manage supplier‑initiated process change control, ensuring risk is identified and mitigated.

  • Build and maintain strong, trust‑based partnerships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, influencing outcomes through collaboration.

  • Provide clear, concise, and timely communication of critical quality and supplier risks, tailoring messages appropriately for technical and non‑technical audiences.

  • Identify, plan, and implement Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and improve quality and delivery performance.

  • Coach and support suppliers in the use of quality prevention tools, Lean principles, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Lead technical supplier assessments and capability development, guiding suppliers on appropriate manufacturing technologies, processes, and methods aligned with ResMed’s business needs.

  • Provide constructive technical feedback to Project and Product Development teams to ensure robust, manufacturable product designs.

  • Mentor, develop, and support Supplier Engineers and Graduate Engineers, contributing to a growing supplier engineering capability in the region.

Let's Talk About Qualifications and Experience:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline (electro‑mechanical background preferred).

  • 8+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment (e.g., Manufacturing, Process, Quality, or Industrial Engineering).

  • Strong experience managing supplier quality and performance, including parts quality for high‑volume manufacturing sites.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, and build structure in a developing environment.

  • Experience supporting new product and process introduction into production.

  • Strong technical capability, including interpretation of engineering drawings, metrology, and statistical analysis.

  • Proven ability to influence, mentor, and build capability in others through technical leadership.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to highlight critical issues succinctly and effectively.

  • Strong project management, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills.

  • Highly motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
