How You'll Create Possibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize supplier and GE Appliances value streams for cost, quality, delivery, and capacity.
  • Take responsibility for achieving productivity, delivery, and efficiency goals, including initiatives focused on packaging optimization, logistics, and information flow improvements.
  • Integrate packaging best practices into the New Product Introduction process by collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Foster an environment that promotes problem-solving, innovation, and continuous improvement through lean-based Appliance Production System methods and tools.
  • Demonstrate and coach others in lean thinking and process improvement.
  • Provide clear, data-driven updates on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Extend EP360 compliance to include key supplier attributes and develop execution plans for returnable container management.
  • Own supplier engagement and strategy within the Container Management Center, including supplier onboarding, communication, container accountability, reporting, and exception management.
  • Set measurable goals for yourself and your team while documenting and sharing best practices across the ecosystem.
  • Lead and support cost-out packaging initiatives, including conversion projects, pack density improvements, and packaging efficiency enhancements that deliver measurable savings.
  • Re-establish business policies around container selection and management.
  • Define guidelines for container design and usage.
  • Create a standard process for fleet sizing and documentation for each logistics loop.
  • Develop loss and recovery guidelines that support clear business policies.
  • Train the supply base on Container Management Strategy, engage key supplier contacts, and address exceptions.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, supply chain, or business-related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing, leading, and motivating cross-functional teams at all organizational levels.
  • Strong project management and planning skills with a focus on execution and tracking.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% based on business needs.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act upon complex data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sourcing, materials planning, or packaging design.
  • 5+ years of experience applying lean principles or leading material flow or planning in a manufacturing environment with measurable results or equivalent experience.
