As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will take ownership for quality and continuous improvement across a range of suppliers. You will build relationships with internal teams and suppliers to ensure successful delivery. You will ensure supplier quality to global standards and lead continuous improvement where there are performance issues.
To drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Positions requiring thorough understanding, application and mastery of approaches, theories, methodologies and application in a concrete organizational context.
As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Including both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development.
Including supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about approach and methods for solving complex problems
Developing positive relationships and work closely with Sourcing Leaders and other internal/external stakeholders to manage and implement supplier/engineering changes, New Product Introductions, and transfers
Understanding and drive Lean, Six Sigma culture with suppliers / processes.
To be successful in this role you will:
Engineering Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of experience in quality / manufacturing / vendor development functions.).
Hands on experience in Investment & Sand-casting processes.(Machining Processes would be considered as a plus)
Experience in NDT techniques including RT, UT and LPI and knowledge about such testing machines (certifications achieved would be considered a plus)
Ability to manage multiple qualifications and work with global teams to approve/qualify suppliers and improve their performance.
Ability in reviewing documents and parts according to ASTM, PED, IEC, ANSI, CE, CSA, UL other international standards & Regulatory Requirements.
Proven problem solving capabilities (Six Sigma and Shainin certifications would be considered as a plus).
Exposure to ISO 9001/14001 and OSHAS Standards will be added advantage
Highest Level of Integrity.
Willingness to travel for more than 60% of the time.
Strong oral and written communication skills. (English proficiency).
