Senior Supervisor, Warehouse

Spain-Valencia Plant Full time

We recently announced plans to expand in Spain by building a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Moncada, Valencia. When it becomes operational in 2026, the plant will manufacture Edwards' surgical and transcatheter heart valve replacement technologies and will join a global network of more than 16,000 talented team members and five other production plants. Our new facility in Moncada will welcome up to 1,500 dedicated team members by 2029 across manufacturing, engineering, and several other professional career paths. Hiring for professional positions has started and will continue through the winter and early spring, with specialized training for manufacturing hires beginning in the fall of 2025.

How you will make an Impact:

  • Provide daily supervision to a team within the warehouse

  • Supervise employee’s warehouse and logistics activities including developing methods to improve on the use of equipment for handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock.

  • Perform complex detailed analysis to improve supply chain operations and make recommendations to improve processes. Responsible for handling the daily purchasing and warehousing operation to ensure that customer delivery schedules are met so as to provide customer satisfaction

  • Oversee the material requisitions from cleanrooms and improve on the delivery of team performance metrics (e.g., NCR rates and delivery time to cleanroom, reduce customer ship errors, cycle count improvement, scrap reduction)

  • Accountable for productivity and quality metrics of staff, and provide regular progress reports and metrics and provide solutions for improvement to management and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Lead process improvement projects and efforts in collaboration with cross-functional teams

  • Act as a JDE super user; Provide more complex data analytics and resolve escalated/complex transaction issues

  • Create and/or improve warehouse and logistics procedures related to capacity requirements

  • Provide feedback and/or conduct performance reviews, including resolving performance issues, training and coaching

  • Responsible for all monthly/yearly PMs (preventative maintenance) on equipment and temperature/humidity probes for the WMS (warehouse management system)

  • Ensure employees are trained, certified, and adhere to EH&S policies and procedures including OHSA regulations

  • Other incidental duties


What you will need (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree & experience in warehouse operations, with skill levels exceeding the requirements of the Supervisor II

  • 5 years of previous related experience with full responsibility for all personnel including hire/fire authority and handling all aspects of employee relations

  • Fluency in English to B2+ level

  • Previous people management experience

  • Experience with ECR (Engineering Change Request) and Quality Systems Management


What else we look for (Preferred):

  • Project management experience

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite with working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, preferably JDE

  • Experience working in a medical device industry

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills; possessing strong collaboration skills in partnering with cross functional stakeholders in order to achieve objectives, as well as mediating differences to achieve consensus

  • Full understanding of warehouse procedures related to all stages of own area of responsibility

  • Ability to supervise/lead employees in a warehouse environment

  • Ability to analyze and adjust line/operation layouts to improve efficiency

  • Full understanding of all aspects of processes and equipment used in assigned work

  • Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations

  • Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to warehouse operations and medical device manufacturing

  • Full knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and Six Sigma

  • Supervise warehouse employees within the department

  • Participate on cross-functional teams Engineering, management, Regulatory, Quality, HR, Planning for the development of cohesive production operations

  • May represent the organization to outside contacts, e.g., vendors, suppliers, contractors, staffing agencies

  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
