The Opportunity:
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for supervising the maintenance, calibration and operation of all Utility and HVAC/R systems and associated subsystem equipment within the Genentech, Hillsboro Oregon facility. You will support the maintenance, operation and repair of all systems, subsystems, and equipment.
You will interface and collaborate with various departmental organizations such as Facilities, Engineering, Validation, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Operations and R&D.
You will maintain clear communications with all internal departments throughout Genentech and with external contractors, vendors and service providers.
You will ensure all equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with all Local, State, Federal and Corporate regulations.
You will provide leadership and management to operations and maintenance personnel consisting of various trade disciplines.
You will champion and drive safety and compliance throughout the organization.
You will work directly with Manufacturing, Engineering and various Quality organizations on new system installations or modifications to maximize equipment availability.
You will continuously evaluate the maintenance and operations to identify barriers to success and opportunities for process improvements and cost savings and provide solutions.
You will make timely decisions that reflect production priorities and logical decision-making. Defer complex issues to management when appropriate.
Who you are:
You hold a BA/BS (engineering preferred) degree and/or substantial relevant on-the-job experience.
You have 2-5 years of experience in an industrial / manufacturing maintenance/operation environment, 7-10 years of progressive experience in equipment and/or facility maintenance and operation and 4-5 years experience in a maintenance shop environment in a lead or supervisory role. Completion of a related engineering major and/or substantial relevant on-the-job training.
You have extensive knowledge of cGMP compliance.
You have the ability to read and Understand P&IDs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and have advanced computer skills using word processors, spreadsheets, databases, and email.
You have thorough working knowledge of Federal, State, Local and Genentech regulations, procedures, and policies associated with industrial waste, bulk chemicals / gasses, refrigerants and hazardous waste.Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs and technical specifications.
You have strong interpersonal skills
You have proficiency in both oral and written communications is essential.
You demonstrate effective writing skills including preparing technical reports, the revision of various technical documentation and procedures.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Hillsboro, Oregon is $77,700 - $144,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
