Provides leadership to ensure the safe, timely and efficient completion of work efforts relating to the construction, operation, maintenance, and emergency restoration of the electric distribution systems. Engages and motivates employees to deliver the best possible customer experience.This senior supervisor will work as a part of the Project Group in Western Massachusetts. This group covers work across our entire Western MA territory and will require travel between areas. This role will be responsible for overseeing both internal crews, as well as external contract resources.
This Senior Supervisor provides operational oversight and execution support across all phases of assigned projects. Responsibilities include representing Operations during constructability reviews and project handoffs, conducting field site visits, and advising on permitting and regulatory requirements. The position supports contractor pre-bids and procurement activities and works closely with Materials Management to ensure materials are available and delivered in alignment with project schedules.
The role collaborates with Planning and Scheduling teams to manage project schedules, track progress, and report milestone status. It is responsible for submitting required documentation, including ITOA permits, SCNs, PONS, and other project approvals, as well as requesting and managing required tags and holds.
During construction, the position conducts site visits, safety observations, and field checks to ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with plans. Post-construction responsibilities include quality control reviews, as-built walkdowns, and verification of completed work. The role also reviews and approves contractor invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual and project requirements.
