WONGDOODY is seeking a Senior Strategist to support a major platform consolidation program for a global business services provider. The immediate focus is a comprehensive discovery initiative that will deepen our understanding of the client’s platform ecosystem across user groups, regions, and product modules.
Reporting to a Strategy Director and the Regional Head of Strategy, the Senior Strategist will be a core member of a cross‑functional team and will drive research, insight development, and strategic framing essential to the program’s success. This role requires strong experience with enterprise digital environments, complex stakeholder landscapes, and the ability to translate research into actionable direction for product and experience teams.
This is a temporary, part-time position.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including stakeholder interviews and task shadowing
Identify pain points and opportunities and synthesize insights into frameworks, journeys, and POVs
Translate research findings into actionable design and product inputs
Support user testing and concept validation
Develop personas and user journeys that reflect research findings
Support workshops and client alignment sessions
Partner with stakeholders to map opportunities onto a roadmap aligned to the overall program timeline and business goals
Contribute to ideation, brainstorming, opportunity prioritization, and roadmapping activities
Stellar interpersonal skills and the ability to influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority
A curious, social, flexible thinker who enjoys connecting the dots across complex ecosystems
Highly adaptable and energized by varied workstreams and approaches
A clear and compelling communicator across verbal, written, and visual formats
Skilled at managing up, down, and sideways, with comfort communicating effectively at all levels
Confident in your point of view while remaining open to the perspectives of clients and teammates
4–6 years of strategy experience within a digital creative agency or innovation consultancy
Experience in B2B categories, ideally within professional services
Familiarity with product design and development processes
Strong qualitative research capabilities, including observational research and task shadowing
Hands‑on workshop experience
Confidence and strength in client‑facing discussions and presentation delivery
Willingness to conduct in‑person research or task shadowing at the client’s Chicago office (or other U.S. locations as needed)
